SSAT joins the Fair Education Alliance

The Fair Education Alliance is pleased to announce that SSAT have joined the Fair Education Alliance, a coalition made up of leading UK organisations to address the persistent educational achievement gap between young people from the poorest communities and their wealthier peers.

The Schools, Students and Teachers Network (SSAT) believe that teachers make students’ lives. Their membership, training programmes, events and publications help teachers carry out their vital job even better, more confidently and more professionally than before. As the hub of the largest and longest-standing network of school leaders and forward-looking teachers in England, the SSAT network helps schools collaborate meaningfully – learning from peers, measuring improvements and celebrating achievements.

Anne-Marie Duguid, Director of Education at SSAT, said: “SSAT, the schools, students and teachers network is delighted to support the Fair Education Alliance. We are committed to social justice and working in partnership with others to address educational disadvantage. We look forward to collaborating with the many prestigious organisations within the alliance to raise awareness of the Fair Education Alliance Impact Goals and to have an impact on the life chances of children across the country.”

Lewis Iwu, Director of the Fair Education Alliance, said: “SSAT is a key stakeholder in the fight towards educational equality. We’re delighted to have the largest and most active network of schools come on board with the Alliance.”

The Fair Education Alliance will publish their state of the nation report on April 13.
